All students at GIUB can get involved in the Student Council, even if they have not previously been elected. Nevertheless, the Student Council elections take place once a year, and 15 people are elected as so-called Student Council representatives (“Fachschaftsvertretung”). This means that these people are particularly keen to get involved in the Student Council. They in turn elect the chairs, spokespersons, financial officers and secretaries from among them.
