To celebrate the summer semester and that COVID-19 cases are dropping, we are excited to bring back a new in-person Mapathon! Once again, we will join the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team in its efforts to map unmapped places vulnerable to disaster risk across the world. This also will be an excellent opportunity to get to know your fellow students in a relaxed environment. For this event, we will collaborate with the Geography Student Council of Uni Bonn (Fachschaft) and with the EGEA!
The event will be held on 5th of May at the Geozentrum Ü9, starting at 6:30 pm.

More Information:
We will be creating digital maps of vulnerable or affected areas using the services provided by MissingMaps and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT-area). This is done with user-friendly software that requires no previous mapping, GIS, or remote sensing skills. Everyone is welcome, and we will provide support to first-time mappers (and snacks).
We look forward to welcoming you to another special Mapathon and celebrating the spring together!
