ABC/J Geoverbund

ABC/J- What? What is this and what does ABC/J stand for? The ABC/J geo association stands for a cooperation between the universities Aachen, Bonn and Cologne, as well as the research centre Jülich. Through this cooperation you have the possibility to study a geoscientific subject at the RWTH Aachen or the University of Cologne without paying an additional second student fee, which would normally have to be paid. The subjects offered at the other universities can either be credited in the “non-degree compulsory elective area” after written agreement with Mrs. Hock (Room 114) or, if there is a higher overlap, they can be credited as Bachelor or Master modules. Due to the wide range of courses offered, you have the opportunity to specify your study profile.

For further questions, please contact the student council or the ABC/J geo association representative. You can find more information under: ABC/J geo association

GeoDACH e.V. – The Association of German-speaking Geography Students

What is GeoDACH?

GeoDACH is the non-profit umbrella organisation representing geography students and their student representatives in Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH) since September 2007. It sees itself as an organ for networking among geography students. The tasks of the association include the critical examination and analysis of teaching at universities, advising student councils in their (higher education policy) activities and representing students in the form of resolutions, positions, resolutions or press releases. GeoDACH consists of representatives of the student councils of participating universities and is active in the German Society for Geography (DGfG) with two board members. In addition, the association sends experts to the student accreditation pool and thus actively contributes to the improvement of teaching.

What do we do?
